Position Overview

The Sustainability Data Analyst will play an instrumental role in supporting Clydesdale Bank's sustainability initiatives. This position is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data that will guide our strategies toward reducing carbon footprints, enhancing social equity, and promoting responsible business practices. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure that sustainability is embedded within our operations.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Analysis: Gather and synthesize environmental, social, and governance (ESG) data from various sources, including internal databases, external research, and industry reports. Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify trends, benchmarks, and areas for improvement.

Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a corporate environment. Familiarity with sustainability metrics, frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB), and reporting standards is highly desirable.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in statistical analysis software and tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python). Ability to translate complex data into comprehensible insights.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences clearly and persuasively.
