As part of our ongoing commitment to serving our communities, we are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our team as a Community Engagement Specialist.
Position Overview: Community Engagement Specialist
Job Description:
- Develop and maintain relationships with local retailers, businesses, and community partners to drive food donation programs
- Coordinate and execute food drives, fundraising events, and promotional campaigns
- Cultivate new partnerships to expand the reach and impact of Hawaii Foodbank's initiatives
- Educate the community on food insecurity issues and the importance of supporting those in need
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the success of community engagement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in community outreach, fundraising, or related fields
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Passion for supporting and empowering local communities
