About the Role

As a Wellness Innovation Specialist, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including research & development, product management, and external partners specializing in biological and therapeutic sciences. You will spearhead projects that focus on enhancing product formulations, assessing bioactive potentials, and navigating regulatory landscapes to bring innovative solutions from conception to market.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the scientific evaluation and validation of natural extracts and compounds for wellness applications.
• Design and execute experimental protocols to assess functional properties related to human wellbeing.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate scientific findings into innovative product development.
• Maintain compliance with relevant standards and guidelines, ensuring all interventions meet stringent quality and safety criteria.
• Monitor emerging trends and advancements within allied fields related to holistic health and natural product innovation.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, presentations, and documentation to support strategic decision-making.
• Engage with external research institutions and partners to foster collaboration and accelerate innovation pipelines.
• Contribute to educational initiatives within Boreal Forest Products by sharing expertise and mentoring junior colleagues.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with a vibrant curiosity for natural sciences and a genuine passion for promoting human wellbeing through innovative approaches. Ideal candidates will possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in fields such as biochemistry, pharmacognosy, molecular biology, or a closely related discipline.
• Proven experience working with natural bioactive compounds, phytochemicals, or similar substances.
• A strong foundation in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation within a context related to physiological or psychological wellness.
• Exceptional communication skills capable of relaying complex scientific concepts to varied audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Familiarity with European regulations and industry standards related to natural health products is highly advantageous.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Finnish is a plus but not mandatory.
