About the Opportunity
In today’s rapidly evolving financial ecosystem, the ability to harness and interpret data with scientific rigor is vital to securing a competitive edge. We are expanding our Advanced Analytics & Quantitative Strategy Division with positions focused on enhancing our capabilities through innovative modeling, experimental validation, and technology-driven solutioning.
As part of this role, you will collaborate across cross-functional groups, leveraging state-of-the-art algorithms, machine learning platforms, and experimental frameworks to analyze financial patterns, risk factors, customer behaviors, and emerging market trends. Your contributions will influence strategic decisions and enable scalable business intelligence extraction from vast datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement sophisticated analytical models that integrate statistical theories with computational efficiencies to solve complex business challenges.
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines that facilitate robust testing and validation of predictive insights using real-time data streams.
- Employ experimental design and hypothesis testing frameworks to assess the accuracy and effectiveness of novel algorithms and data interpretations.
- Partner with engineering teams to integrate analytical tools seamlessly into KeyBank’s enterprise infrastructure.
- Continuously explore and incorporate emerging technologies such as deep learning architectures, natural language processing, and advanced signal processing techniques.
- Translate intricate data findings into clear, actionable narratives for stakeholders at multiple levels, including executives and technical teams.
What We Are Looking For
Successful candidates will bring a strong foundation in quantitative analysis, experimental methodology, and computational proficiency. We value individuals who thrive in a culture that blends scientific precision with creative problem-solving.
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD preferred) in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or equivalent quantitative fields.
- Demonstrable experience with large-scale data manipulation, statistical programming (Python, R, or similar), and machine learning frameworks.
- Proficiency in designing and executing rigorous validation experiments, including A/B testing, factorial design, and time-series analysis.
- Hands-on familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or cloud analytics platforms.
- Capability to innovate within complex technical ecosystems, balancing precision and scalability.
- Excellent communication skills tailored toward translating technical results into business value.
