About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Bioformulation Scientist to join our advanced research team focused on developing next-generation nutritional and functional ingredient solutions tailored for applications within animal dietary science and health. This role will focus on the creation, optimization, and validation of novel ingredient formulations that enhance wellbeing, support digestive health, and advance the science of bioavailability within the non-human animal nutritional domain.

Key Responsibilities

Innovative Formulation Development: Design and develop cutting-edge bioactive ingredient blends and delivery systems that improve nutrient absorption and provide tailored functionality aligned with animal physiological needs.
Advanced Analytical Characterization: Employ state-of-the-art analytical technologies such as mass spectrometry, chromatography, and spectroscopy to meticulously characterize ingredient interactions and stability.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including process engineers, molecular biologists, and product developers to integrate novel solutions into scalable manufacturing processes.
Regulatory and Compliance Leadership: Ensure all formulations comply rigorously with regulatory standards and quality assurance protocols relevant to non-human animal nutritional products in North America and global markets.
Scientific Communication: Prepare detailed technical documentation, white papers, and patent applications to protect intellectual property and share scientific advancements within the industry.
Research Innovation: Drive continuous innovation by staying abreast of emerging trends in biotechnology, ingredient science, and bioengineering technologies applied in enhancing domestic animal dietary solutions.

Qualifications

Ph.D. or Master's degree in Biochemistry, Food Science, Nutritional Science, or related scientific disciplines.
Minimum of 5 years professional experience in formulation development, preferably within animal nutrition or related biological ingredient sectors.
Proven expertise in biopolymer interactions, encapsulation technologies, or enzymatic processing technologies.
Strong proficiency in utilizing analytical instrumentation and data interpretation to inform formulation strategy.
Exceptional project management and interpersonal communication skills, capable of leading cross-functional innovation teams.
Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and quality standards applying to nutritional ingredients designed for non-human consumption.
