Role Overview

The Senior Specialist in Companion Wellness Innovation will lead research initiatives focusing on the nutritional and physiological needs specialized for species that live closely with humans, reflecting our commitment to improving their health and quality of life through scientific excellence. This role blends in-depth scientific research with applied technology development to create next-generation wellness solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute advanced research projects analyzing nutrient metabolism, behavior, and health outcomes in companion species.
Develop novel formulations and supplements that enhance vitality, longevity, and disease resilience.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product development, marketing, and regulatory teams ensuring scientific rigor through commercialization.
Mentor junior scientists and research associates, fostering an innovative and progressive team environment.
Stay abreast of emerging scientific literature, technological advances, and competitor landscape to drive continuous innovation.
Represent Nestlé Research at international symposia, contributing thought leadership in nutritional science domains.

Candidate Profile

Prospective candidates will demonstrate a robust academic foundation (PhD preferred) in nutritional science, biology, veterinary science, or related fields, complemented by significant practical experience in research and development within the companion health space. Exceptional analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and strong communication proficiency in English (additional language skills are advantageous) are crucial.

Minimum 5 years of relevant research experience in companion species nutrition or physiology.
Proven track record of scientific publications, patents, or product innovations.
Experience with laboratory techniques, data analysis software, and project management tools.
A strategic mindset with an ability to integrate scientific findings into viable commercial applications.
