Namur Community Gardening Network is at the forefront of urban green initiatives in Namur, Belgium, and we are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Urban Wildlife Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and harmonious coexistence of the diverse wildlife that inhabit our urban community gardens.
Job Title: Urban Wildlife Care Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing innovative strategies to support the care and conservation of urban wildlife species
- Collaborating with local stakeholders to promote sustainable wildlife management practices
- Conducting regular assessments of wildlife health and behavior within community garden settings
- Developing educational programs to raise awareness about urban wildlife conservation
- Providing expert advice on creating wildlife-friendly habitats within urban environments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, or related field
- Proven experience in wildlife conservation or related field
- Strong passion for urban ecology and wildlife conservation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a community-focused environment
