Join Our Team - Optical Assistance Specialist Position Available in Dublin at Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind
We are excited to announce a unique opportunity to become part of the dynamic team at Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind in Dublin. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled individual to fill the role of Optical Assistance Specialist.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized care and support to our visually impaired clients in need of assistance
- Offer guidance and training related to the use of optical aids and devices
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the well-being of our clients
- Conduct assessments to determine the most suitable optical solutions for individual needs
- Organize workshops and educational sessions on eye health and visual impairment awareness
Requirements:
- Qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Optometry, Ophthalmology, Vision Science)
- Experience working with individuals with visual impairments is preferred
- Strong communication skills and empathy towards clients facing challenges
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of others
