Position Overview

The Sustainability Coordinator will play a fundamental role in guiding our initiatives aimed at fostering a cleaner and greener future. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting sustainable practices within our operations, advocating for social responsibility, and managing projects that contribute positively to our ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination: Lead and participate in sustainability projects focused on resource conservation, waste reduction, and community outreach initiatives.
Research and Implementation: Conduct thorough research on sustainable practices within the industry, and help implement strategies that align with our corporate goals for environmental stewardship.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Monitor and analyze sustainability metrics; prepare and present findings to stakeholders while making actionable recommendations.
Community Engagement: Develop partnerships with local organizations, schools, and communities to promote sustainable practices and educate the public about environmental conservation.
Training and Development: Create training programs for staff on sustainability protocols and the importance of corporate social responsibility, ensuring alignment with PolyOne's values.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field. A Master’s degree or further certifications in sustainability or business management is a plus.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in sustainability coordination, project management, or corporate social responsibility initiatives is preferred.
Skills: Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management. Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences will be essential.
Passion for Sustainability: Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and the ability to inspire others to contribute to environmentally friendly practices.
