We are seeking a visionary and passionate individual to join our team at the Messina Regional Tourism Promotion Office as the Executive Director of Sustainable Development & Rural Empowerment. In this role, you will be at the forefront of driving initiatives that promote sustainable practices in agriculture, enhance rural livelihoods, and contribute to the economic growth of Sicily's countryside.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of sustainable agriculture projects that support local farmers and producers.
Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and local communities to promote rural development and empower rural populations.
Design and execute strategies to enhance agricultural productivity while preserving the environment and cultural heritage of Sicily.
Drive innovation in the agricultural sector by adopting modern technologies and best practices.
Identify funding opportunities and establish partnerships to support rural empowerment initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of programs and projects, ensuring alignment with sustainable development goals.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's or advanced degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Rural Development, or related field.
Proven experience in sustainable agriculture, rural development, or community empowerment programs.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards achieving common goals.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for building effective partnerships and networks.
Passion for driving positive change in rural communities and a deep appreciation for Sicily's cultural and natural heritage.
