Job Opening: Rural Development Consultant
We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Green Initiatives Team as a Rural Development Consultant. In this role, you will work to promote sustainable practices and economic growth in North Carolina's rural communities. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, developing initiatives, and collaborating with stakeholders to support agricultural and environmental projects across the state.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on sustainable agricultural practices
- Develop and implement rural development initiatives
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including farmers, community organizations, and government agencies
- Evaluate the impact of environmental policies and programs in rural areas
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote sustainable practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, agriculture, rural development, or related field
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of sustainable agriculture and rural development practices
- Experience in project management is a plus
