Position Overview:

As an Aquatic Care Specialist at Alaska SeaLife Center, you will be responsible for the comprehensive health and well-being of our marine inhabitants. You will apply your expertise to ensure the safety, comfort, and optimal health of the aquatic creatures under our care through advanced practices and innovative methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementing specialized care plans tailored to the unique needs of each species
Conducting health assessments and administering treatments accordingly
Maintaining high water quality standards and overseeing aquatic environments
Collaborating with the research team to contribute to ongoing projects
Following best practices and protocols for animal welfare and husbandry

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marine Biology, Veterinary Science, or related field
Proven experience in aquatic care, animal behavior, or similar areas
Strong understanding of marine ecosystems and species-specific requirements
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
