About Us:
Southern Appalachian Historical Association (SAHA) is seeking a passionate individual to join our team in North Carolina. We are dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich history of the region through engaging experiences.
Position: Discovery Facilitator
Location: North Carolina, United States
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute hands-on historical discovery experiences for visitors
- Conduct research on local history, artifacts, and traditions
- Assist in developing educational programs and materials
- Engage with guests to enhance their understanding and appreciation of the region's heritage
- Collaborate with the team to create immersive learning opportunities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in History, Anthropology, or related field
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Passion for Southern Appalachian history and culture
- Previous experience in a museum, heritage site, or educational institution preferred
