Cooperative Bank of Kenya, an institution deeply rooted in the heart of Rift Valley, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Sustainability Specialist. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting and developing initiatives that drive sustainable agriculture practices and rural development within the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with local farming communities to promote sustainable practices.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance agricultural productivity in rural areas.
- Evaluate and monitor sustainability programs to ensure effective outcomes.
- Provide training and support to farmers on sustainable farming techniques.
- Conduct research on emerging trends in agriculture and rural development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in sustainable agriculture or rural development.
- Strong understanding of environmental conservation and resource management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
