City of Toledo is seeking a talented and passionate professional to join our team as an Urban Agriculture Development Manager!
We are looking for an individual who is dedicated to fostering the growth and sustainability of our city through innovative agricultural practices. As the Urban Agriculture Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in strategizing and implementing initiatives that promote urban agriculture, community gardens, and sustainable farming practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee urban agriculture projects to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with local communities, organizations, and stakeholders to promote urban farming initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate agricultural education programs for residents of all ages.
- Implement sustainable farming practices to enhance urban food production and environmental stewardship.
- Conduct research and assess the impact of urban agriculture on the local economy and environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Previous experience in agricultural development, community engagement, or sustainable farming.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
