At Trout Unlimited, we are dedicated to preserving and protecting our nation's trout and salmon populations and their habitats. We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Conservation Education Specialist.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and implement innovative educational programs and initiatives focused on promoting conservation and stewardship of aquatic ecosystems.
Deliver engaging presentations and workshops on various topics related to fisheries management, aquatic ecology, and conservation practices.
Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and governmental agencies to create partnerships and expand educational outreach efforts.
Create educational materials, including lesson plans, brochures, and online resources, to support our education programs.
Conduct field trips and outdoor education activities to provide hands-on learning experiences for students and community members.
Stay up-to-date with current research, trends, and best practices in environmental education and incorporate them into program development.
Assess the effectiveness of education programs through surveys, evaluations, and data analysis.
Maintain accurate records of program activities, budgets, and grant reporting requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Environmental Science, Biology, or Natural Resource Management.
Previous experience in environmental education, interpretive programming, or related fields.
Strong knowledge of aquatic ecosystems, fisheries, and conservation principles.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to connect with diverse audiences, including students, teachers, and community members.
Experience in curriculum development and program evaluation.
Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
