Position Overview: Community Engagement Specialist
This role is ideal for a passionate and detail-oriented professional who possesses excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of community dynamics, and a commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships. The specialist will serve as a liaison between VSAC and key stakeholders, including students, families, educational institutions, nonprofit organizations, and local leaders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement outreach programs tailored to diverse populations across Vermont to enhance awareness of VSAC's services.
- Organize and facilitate workshops, informational sessions, and community events to support educational access and financial literacy.
- Collaborate closely with regional partners to identify emerging needs, assess program effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement.
- Coordinate communications strategy for community engagement, ensuring clarity, cultural relevance, and consistent messaging.
- Maintain comprehensive records of outreach activities and prepare detailed reports to inform leadership and funding entities.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field is required; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in community outreach, educational advocacy, or program coordination.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with capacity to engage audiences from varied backgrounds.
