Position Overview
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for the strategic expansion and continuous operational oversight of our network infrastructure throughout the Western Cape. Your expertise will drive the integration of new service centers under the MWeb brand while guaranteeing the compliance, consistency, and strong performance of all existing entities.
We are looking for a dynamic professional who understands both the macro-level strategic demands of regional network growth and the micro-level operational challenges inherent in managing a diverse portfolio of independently managed service outlets bound by contractual partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Growth Strategy & Implementation: Develop and execute comprehensive growth plans to establish and expand MWeb’s presence across the Western Cape, identifying high-potential locations and partnering with local entrepreneurs for successful site launches.
- Partner Network Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with independent operators, facilitating best practices, aligned branding, and quality standards across all points of operation.
- Operational Excellence: Implement rigorous operational protocols, continuous training programs, and compliance audits to ensure uniform service delivery and brand adherence.
- Financial Oversight: Monitor performance metrics, profitability, and operational costs within the network to optimize revenue generation and ensure sustainable growth.
- Marketing Coordination: Collaborate with the marketing department to synchronize promotional efforts, local outreach, and community-based initiatives that enhance brand visibility and engagement.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead a multidisciplinary team tasked with regional support functions, including training, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution, fostering a productive and motivated work environment.
- Market & Competitor Analysis: Continuously study market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity to inform strategic adjustments and maintain MWeb’s competitive edge.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field; advanced qualifications considered a plus.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in network development, business growth, or multi-unit operational management within the retail telecommunications or service delivery sectors.
- Demonstrated success in launching new outlets or regional networks with independent business partners under a unified brand structure.
- Strong understanding of contractual partnerships, operational compliance frameworks, and quality assurance processes.
- Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to motivate teams and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in performance metrics, financial analysis, and strategic planning tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of liaising across diverse stakeholder groups including corporate executives, service operators, and customers.
