Position Summary

In alignment with our mission to promote equity and uphold ethical standards, Vision Australia is seeking an experienced Corporate Integrity Advisor to join our dynamic team. This role sits at the nexus of organisational governance, ethical compliance, and responsible decision-making, ensuring our policies and practices embody fairness while addressing environmental and social responsibilities.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Ethical Framework Development: Design, implement, and continuously improve policies and guidelines that promote transparent, equitable, and responsible practices within the organisation.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Oversee adherence to internal and external standards related to corporate integrity, including environmental stewardship and social accountability.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify potential areas of ethical risk or non-compliance, particularly those that may impact the community or environmental sustainability, and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Advisory Support: Provide counsel to leadership and key stakeholders on decisions requiring ethical consideration, ensuring that organisational actions align with Vision Australia's commitments to social justice and ecological responsibility.
  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver educational programs to staff and partners on best practices in corporate integrity, focusing on the implications of responsible governance on social and environmental wellbeing.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with community groups, regulatory bodies, and other external stakeholders to reinforce Vision Australia's role as a leader in ethical conduct and sustainability.

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • Relevant experience in compliance, corporate governance advisory, or a related field, preferably within the social services or not-for-profit sectors.
  • Strong understanding of ethical frameworks that encompass social justice, community impact, and environmental responsibility.
  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate complex scenarios and recommend balanced, credible solutions.
  • Proven ability to navigate regulatory environments and manage compliance-related challenges effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage sensitively and constructively across different cultural and organisational contexts.
