We are seeking a creative and driven individual to join our team at Pier 21 National Historic Site in Nova Scotia, Canada. As a Sustainability Innovator, you will play a critical role in identifying and implementing environmentally-friendly practices, reducing energy consumption, and promoting sustainable initiatives throughout our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to minimize our environmental impact
- Research and recommend renewable energy solutions
- Evaluate and optimize waste management processes
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate sustainability into everyday operations
- Stay informed about industry best practices and innovative technologies
- Educate and engage staff and visitors in sustainable practices
- Monitor and report on key sustainability metrics
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Demonstrated experience in implementing sustainable practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Passion for environmental preservation and energy efficiency
