Position: Coordinator of Public Safety Initiatives

The Rhode Island Association of Fire Chiefs (RIAFC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Coordinator of Public Safety Initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to enhance public safety, advance fire prevention efforts, and promote community resilience.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with local government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders to drive public safety initiatives.
Design and implement programs to educate the public on fire safety best practices and emergency preparedness.
Lead community outreach efforts to raise awareness about fire prevention and promote a culture of safety.
Manage grants and funding opportunities to support public safety projects and initiatives.
Analyze data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of public safety programs and initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Emergency Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in public safety, emergency preparedness, or a similar role.
Strong project management skills with the ability to drive initiatives from conception to implementation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Knowledge of government regulations, grant management, and community engagement practices.
