We are excited to announce an incredible opportunity to join the dynamic team at Vesturland Agricultural Cooperative in the heart of Iceland's Western Region. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to fill the role of Community Development Specialist.
Job Title: Community Development Specialist
Location: Western Region, Iceland
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement community programs that promote sustainable agriculture practices and support local farmers.
- Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and community members to address agricultural challenges and foster growth in the region.
- Organize educational workshops, events, and outreach programs to engage the local community in agricultural initiatives.
- Conduct research on industry trends, market analysis, and best practices to enhance the cooperative's impact.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Environmental Studies, Community Development, or related field.
- Strong understanding of government policies, nonprofit organizations, and community engagement strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Passion for sustainable agriculture, environmental conservation, and community development.
