We are seeking a passionate individual to join our esteemed team as the Curator of Cultural Heritage at the Kansas State Historical Society. As the Curator of Cultural Heritage, you will play a pivotal role in preserving and showcasing the rich history and cultural heritage of Kansas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Curate and manage our extensive collection of historical artifacts and documents
- Develop and implement innovative exhibitions and educational programs to engage the community
- Conduct research on Kansas history and heritage to enhance our collections and exhibitions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accurate and authentic representation of Kansas's diverse cultural heritage
Qualifications:
- A degree in History, Museum Studies, Cultural Heritage, or a related field
- Proven experience in curatorial work within a museum or historical institution
- Strong research and communication skills
- Passion for preserving and promoting cultural heritage
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
