Position Overview: Community Engagement and Sustainable Consumer Partnership Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our dynamic team as a Community Engagement and Sustainable Consumer Partnership Coordinator. This role transcends traditional commercial activities by focusing on ethical, sustainable, and socially responsible connections that enhance community wellbeing and promote environmentally conscious decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Partnership Development: Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with local enterprises, suppliers, and community stakeholders who share our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility.
  • Community-Centric Initiatives: Design and implement programs that encourage ethical consumer behaviors, support local producers, and enhance accessibility to sustainable goods and services.
  • Market Analysis and Insights: Monitor evolving consumer preferences with a focus on green products and services, leveraging market data to tailor initiatives that align with both community needs and environmental goals.
  • Educational Outreach: Lead informative campaigns and workshops to raise awareness about the benefits of sustainable consumption and the impact of purchasing choices on public health and the environment.
  • Collaboration with Internal Departments: Work closely with environmental, social, and health programs within Prairie Mountain Health to ensure alignment of efforts and maximize community benefits.
  • Reporting and Impact Assessment: Develop detailed reports on program effectiveness, consumer engagement metrics, and environmental impact, enabling continuous improvement and transparency.

Qualifications and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Environmental Studies, Community Development, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in roles involving community outreach, partnership development, or consumer engagement with a demonstrated focus on sustainable practices.
  • Exceptional knowledge of sustainable market trends and the socio-economic factors influencing consumer behaviors in Manitoba and broader Canadian contexts.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data-driven decision-making tools and techniques.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute multi-stakeholder projects that balance commercial viability with ethical and environmental priorities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills capable of inspiring diverse audiences and fostering collaborative networks.
  • Commitment to advancing social equity, environmental sustainability, and community health as interconnected priorities.
